Pakistan Got Test Status in 1952

Abdul Hafeez Kardar was the 1st Captain.

First Match of Pakistan is against India in 1952 at Delhi. Which Pakistan had lost. India won the series by 2-1

First foreign tour is of England in 1954. Series Levels, Pakistan's Fast Bowler Fazal Mehmood got 12 wickets in this Series.

First Test Played in Dacca at home ground in 1955. In this series all test are drawn.

One Day Internationals developed in 1970. Before this only Test Matches played. Initially a lot of teams are not happy with this form of Cricket. In the start One day match consists of 60 overs. Later 50 overs introduced. And as the World is becoming fast Twenty 20 introduced. As now in this fast era public demand of short games. Reserve day is often set aside for important matches in poor weather conditions.
First ODI of Cricket History was played in Melbourne in 1971, between two rivals England and Australia, it was introduced in such a way that three days of the test were lost due to rain. Then officials decide to play 40 overs game. Australia won that game by five wickets. In the next 4 years 18 ODI’s were played. Until Tony Cozier gave the idea for the first World Cup, which was held in 1975. England was chosen for the venue. In that tournament Test playing teams Australia, England, India, Pakistan, Newzealand and West Indies were the test status teams. Whereas East Africa and Sri Lanka who were not test playing teams at that time also played in that historical tournament. Final was played between West Indies and Australia. West Indies won that match by 17 runs. Clive Lloyd scored 102 runs from 85 balls.
Now the World Cup is played between ICC designated ODI teams. The cricket teams which have ODI status are listed below:
